About the Opportunity

Marriott International is seeking an AsstMgr-Food & Beverage I to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are ready to contribute to the successful operation of our food and beverage and culinary services. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high levels of guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining operational standards, and working towards financial objectives.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage I is responsible for the assigned food and beverage and culinary operations. This includes a primary focus on overseeing both guest and employee satisfaction, ensuring that all service standards are consistently met. A key aspect of this role is also to contribute to achieving or exceeding established financial goals for the department.

Leading Food & Beverage Operations

• Cultivate a property environment that promotes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver excellent customer service to all employees, addressing concerns quickly and proactively.
• Utilize coaching skills across the property to develop staff.
• Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in all interactions.
• Motivate and encourage staff to effectively resolve guest and employee-related concerns.

Ensuring Guest Satisfaction

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests, responding quickly and proactively to their concerns.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the brand's service culture and set clear service expectations for all guests.
• Take ownership of guest complaints or problems, ensuring resolution or appropriate escalation to management.
• Follow up to confirm that guest complaints have been addressed to their satisfaction.
• Develop strong relationships with guests to foster repeat clientele.

Administrative Support

• Ensure compliance with all corporate accounting procedures.
• Assist the General Manager as required with the annual Quality audit process.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the AsstMgr-Food & Beverage I position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in food and beverage or culinary operations. This role is suitable for individuals who are eager to develop their leadership and operational skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.
