BIM Technical Architect

About the Role

EMECO General Contracting Co. is seeking a BIM Technical Architect to join its Architecture team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing, coordinating, and reviewing architectural BIM models and drawings, specifically across Fit-Out & Finishing stages. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into coordinated BIM models, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit, ensuring compliance with project requirements and BIM standards.
• Prepare architectural drawings, documentation, schedules, details, construction documentation, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate architectural models with structural, MEP, façade, landscape, ID, and other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and other relevant BIM tools to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Ensure models and drawings comply with project specifications, design standards, BIM Execution Plans, and company procedures.
• Review architectural designs to identify discrepancies, coordination issues, and constructability concerns.
• Collaborate with all project stakeholders to resolve design and coordination issues.
• Extract accurate drawings, schedules, quantities, and information from BIM models.
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings, providing technical BIM support.
• Maintain model integrity, naming conventions, worksets, shared coordinates, and project data.
• Assist in improving BIM processes and ensuring consistent model quality throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience within a construction environment.
• Strong experience in BIM-based workflow and documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit Architecture.
• Good working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination workflows.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and model development requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills with all project stakeholders.

Additional Requirements

• For KSA residents, a transferable Iqama is required.
• Notice period should not exceed 2 weeks.
