The First Group Hospitality, a Dubai-headquartered full-service hospitality management company, is seeking a Commis III to join its culinary team in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers an entry-level opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to develop professional kitchen skills within a premier community setting.

The Commis III Role Overview

The Commis III supports the kitchen team by assisting with basic food preparation, cooking, and maintaining stringent standards of hygiene and food safety. This role is designed for individuals developing their culinary career and professional kitchen skills within a dynamic kitchen environment.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces, and garnishes.
Follow recipes, portion-control guidelines, and instructions from senior chefs.
Assist with cooking and plating dishes during service periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
Store and label food ingredients correctly according to company procedures.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
Comply with HACCP, health, safety, and food-hygiene standards.
Support with receiving and checking kitchen deliveries.
Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Provide support to other kitchen sections as required.
Participate in training and continuously develop culinary skills.
Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Candidate Requirements

Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
Culinary training or a hospitality qualification is considered an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and hygiene practices.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Demonstrates a positive attitude, discipline, and eagerness to learn.

This full-time position is based in the Makkah region, specifically within the Silver Sands Beach community in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
