Overview of the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking a CORTEX Operations Specialist to manage and support CORTEX application operations within a banking environment. This full-time role focuses on ensuring system availability, operational stability, and efficient incident resolution, requiring effective coordination across technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support daily CORTEX operations within the banking environment.
  • Monitor CORTEX applications, services, interfaces, and batch processing.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Handle application alerts, failures, and operational issues in adherence to agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams.
  • Support deployment, release, patching, and production change activities.
  • Perform health checks and ensure high availability and system performance.
  • Manage incident, problem, and change requests using ITSM tools.
  • Prepare operational reports, incident analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with banking security policies, operational controls, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CORTEX Operations, Application Support, or Production Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CORTEX systems and applications.
  • Previous experience within the banking or financial services sector is required.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-availability and critical banking production environment.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with various databases.
  • Hands-on experience with application monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of batch processing, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical banking applications and 24/7 production environments.
