About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position is open exclusively to Saudi Nationals Only and is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures within the hotel premises.

Role Overview

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring strict compliance with all safety standards. This position requires active engagement with guests to address service needs and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues to foster a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components as required.
• Utilize testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes for diagnostics.
• Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting, and other critical systems.
• Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and adherence to current National Electric Code and local codes.
• Read and accurately follow blueprints and schematics.
• Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications; ensure proper storage of flammable materials.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Communicate using clear and professional language and prepare and review information accurately and completely.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in general maintenance or a related technical field.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
