Role Overview

Consolidated Grunenfelder Saady Holding Co. is seeking a Reefer Technician for a full-time position in Jeddah. This role involves performing advanced repair, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for reefer trucks, encompassing body repairs, tail lift troubleshooting, and refrigeration system diagnostics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical competence, independence in task execution, and the ability to support junior technicians while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

The Reefer Technician will be responsible for a range of technical duties, including:

• Diagnosing and repairing structural damage to reefer truck bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame alignment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and hydraulic tail lift components, such as cylinders, motors, sensors, and control switches.
• Conducting advanced diagnostics on Direct Drive (DD) and Diesel Truck (DT) refrigeration units using gauges and electronic measuring devices.
• Implementing preventive maintenance schedules for reefer and tail lift systems.
• Preparing accurate technical reports for all repair, diagnostic, and maintenance activities.

Specialized Technical Duties

Key areas of technical expertise required for this role include:

• Utilizing advanced repair tools, including hydraulic jacks and pneumatic hammers, to restore vehicle structure and integrity.
• Performing functional testing on tail lifts using diagnostic equipment to ensure post-repair reliability.
• Troubleshooting compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, and control system issues within refrigeration units.
• Operating and maintaining advanced tools such as multimeters, welding machines, and diagnostic instruments, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
• Optimizing system performance through testing, calibration, and adjustments of refrigeration, fuel, and electrical systems.

Operational Standards and Team Support

The Reefer Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting team development:

• Ensuring strict compliance with safety standards during all complex repair and diagnostic activities.
• Leading safety briefings and conducting inspections for assigned tasks or projects.
• Reviewing the work of junior technicians and providing guidance and constructive feedback.
