Sales Senior Optician

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Sales Senior Optician to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves driving sales, ensuring optical accuracy, and resolving complex customer and operational issues. The Senior Optician will also support the Store Manager in team leadership and achieving store performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive high-value sales, including upselling and product mix optimization.
• Support the store in achieving targets and improving conversion and average transaction value (ATV).
• Lead the execution of promotions and insurance offers on the sales floor.
• Handle complex customer cases, complaints, and escalations.
• Ensure the delivery of a premium and consistent customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with VIP and returning customers.
• Ensure advanced prescription interpretation and dispensing accuracy.
• Support and guide the team in contact lens fitting and technical cases.
• Act as a reference point for technical queries and difficult cases.
• Perform final quality checks before delivery (Rx, fitting, defects).
• Ensure zero-error delivery and minimize remakes or returns.
• Resolve technical issues with the lab or store before customer handover.
• Ensure proper handling of insurance approvals and invoices.
• Monitor team compliance with POS and system accuracy, preventing errors, duplicates, or policy violations.

Team Leadership and Support

• Provide on-floor coaching and guidance to opticians and sales staff.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Monitor team performance and support improvement initiatives.
• Monitor product availability and highlight fast-moving or slow-moving items.
• Ensure proper display, category visibility, and stock handling.
• Escalate stock gaps that may affect sales performance.
• Support the Store Manager in daily operations and team supervision.
• Act as a shift leader when required.

Compliance and Operational Standards

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an optician role.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
• Strong understanding of optical accuracy and prescription interpretation.
• Experience in handling customer complaints and complex cases.
• Ability to provide coaching and guidance to team members.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within a retail optical setting, supporting both sales and operational functions.
