Senior Executive Manager Audit Analytics

About the Role

Astek is seeking a Senior Executive Manager Audit Analytics to lead data analytics and continuous auditing initiatives within the Internal Audit function for one of its clients. This full-time role is based in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah or Makkah, and aims to enhance audit delivery through advanced analytics, automation, and data-driven assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end continuous auditing and data analytics initiatives, covering requirements gathering, data extraction, testing, analysis, reporting, and closure.
• Develop analytical methodologies to identify emerging risks, control weaknesses, anomalies, trends, and exceptions.
• Utilize SAS for independent extraction, reconciliation, and analysis of large, complex datasets.
• Translate business processes, risk scenarios, policies, and controls into analytical logic and testing procedures.
• Investigate exceptions, conduct root-cause analysis, and differentiate genuine control issues from data-quality or process-related matters.
• Support audit engagements by identifying higher-risk populations and strengthening audit coverage.
• Engage with business, IT, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to understand processes, validate findings, and communicate insights.
• Enhance continuous auditing tools, automated analytics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure analytical solutions are documented, validated, repeatable, and supported by appropriate governance and quality controls.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to the development of the Internal Audit function.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
• Around 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, enterprise risk, assurance, financial analytics, model monitoring, or a similar area.
• Advanced, hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise and/or SAS Viya, including independent analysis of large, complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of risk, controls, testing, monitoring, and assurance concepts.
• Proven ability to lead complex analytical initiatives and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Experience in a regulated or complex organization.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Python, data visualization, or automation.
• A relevant master’s degree or professional certification (such as CISA, CMA, CPA, or CRMA).

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position located in the Makkah region, with primary work locations in Jeddah or Makkah.
