About Salla and the Role

Salla is a prominent e-commerce platform in Saudi Arabia, currently enabling over 60,000 merchants to operate their online businesses. We are expanding our team to bring new merchants onto the platform. We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on new business acquisition.

The Senior Sales Executive will manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to merchant activation. This role involves engaging with a diverse client base, ranging from ambitious SMBs to established enterprise brands, and demonstrating how Salla's comprehensive product suite—including storefront, payments, logistics, marketing, and AI—addresses their specific business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new merchant accounts across SMB and enterprise segments within assigned verticals, primarily through self-sourced pipeline generation.
  • Build and maintain a transparent and accurate sales pipeline, clearly distinguishing between active opportunities and potential leads.
  • Conduct thorough discovery processes to identify and diagnose merchants' specific business requirements beyond surface-level interest.
  • Develop and deliver tailored pitches that illustrate how Salla's platform, encompassing storefront, payments, logistics, marketing, integrations, and AI, provides solutions for each merchant's unique situation.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals through longer sales cycles, engaging with various departments from founders to finance and IT, and driving them to contract signature.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain disciplined CRM records to ensure data reliability.
  • Collaborate with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth handover and rapid merchant activation post-signature.
  • Offer structured market feedback to the team, sharing insights on vertical trends, pricing signals, and recurring objections from the field to inform sales strategy.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who identifies opportunities, initiates engagement, and drives deals to closure. This role requires a self-starter who is committed to achieving sales targets and ensuring merchant success from initial contact through activation.

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the e-commerce or technology sector.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic team focused on expanding Salla's merchant base across the region.
