Role Summary: Spa Massage Therapist

The Spa Massage Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality massage and body treatments to guests. This role involves assessing individual guest needs, ensuring safety, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant techniques and modalities to deliver a professional and therapeutic service. The position requires a commitment to guest satisfaction and adherence to established spa and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional massage services and body treatments (*, scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy) using appropriate products and techniques.
• Conduct thorough guest assessments, inquiring about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before treatments.
• Stay informed on current industry techniques and modalities relevant to spa services.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, workstations, and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper arrangement of drapes.
• Escort guests, monitor their comfort and safety throughout services, and adhere strictly to appointment schedules.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services and related retail products.
• Manage end-of-shift duties, including trash disposal, linen handling, and securing supplies and equipment.
• Address inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International's standard operating procedures, escalating to a supervisor if necessary.
• Maintain all required skills, certifications, and licensure for the service area as per regional regulations.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management and complete all mandatory safety training.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets.
• Provide exceptional guest service by welcoming and acknowledging all guests, anticipating their needs, and expressing genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships.
• Execute additional reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in spa massage therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to assess guest needs and identify contraindications.
• Knowledge of current massage techniques and modalities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest and team interaction.

Physical Requirements
