About the Role

Saudi Airlines Catering Company is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Manager, Legal Affairs & Compliance to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is critical for overseeing the company's legal affairs and compliance functions, working closely with the Chief Legal Officer to ensure all efforts align with the company's strategic goals and objectives. The role requires a professional with over 10 years of relevant experience, committed to upholding the company's Standards of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage work activities for legal staff and the administrative functions of the Legal Affairs & Compliance Division.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define and execute company strategy.
• Provide advice to internal clients across all regions on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters, including dispute resolution, risk management, contracts, corporate governance, proposed transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Offer interpretation of relevant statutes, current contracts, corporate and commercial law, and general business issues.
• Deliver strategic direction to business leaders regarding compliance.
• Oversee and monitor the implementation of the compliance program, preparing appropriate reports.
• Represent the company in litigation before courts and administrative tribunals.
• Support key business teams involved in procurement, strategy, revenue generation, product development, marketing, technology, operations, and human resources.
• Partner with business teams in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements.
• Investigate instances of suspected major misconduct.
• Educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
• Retain and manage outside counsel in a cost-effective manner when necessary.
• Assist in developing internal policies and procedures to manage risk and improve business efficiency.
• Manage internal case reviews and investigations to provide substantive assessment and favorable outcomes.
• Review and monitor the progress and status of litigation involving the company.
• Communicate with competent government authorities.
• Initiate tasks for continuous improvement within the Legal Affairs & Compliance Division, enhancing processes and practices.
• Manage the company's risk management program, including insurance coverage and claims management.
• Develop and deliver training programs on legal and compliance issues to employees at all organizational levels.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this Senior Manager position must possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in legal affairs and compliance, preferably within a corporate environment. The role demands a strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in compliance and risk management. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide strategic legal counsel to diverse business units are essential.
