Technical Manager

About the Role

GSK plc is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the technical functions at its pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing all technical aspects of the product lifecycle on-site, driving performance and capability, and ensuring full compliance with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and other regulatory requirements. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site technical function at Jeddah Warehouse City and serve as a core member of the Site Leadership Team, contributing to overall site performance and business goal delivery within a GMP framework.
• Provide strategic direction for technical activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring robust technical support for manufacturing operations and product-related decisions.
• Champion safety, quality, and compliance, embedding GMP and Quality Management System (QMS) principles in daily operations and long-term improvement plans.
• Represent the Jeddah Warehouse City site in interactions with SFDA, Ministry of Health (MOH), and other regulatory bodies regarding licensing, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
• Lead and manage regulatory and internal audits, ensuring effective follow-up, alignment of Level 2 processes, and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to sustain and improve compliance.
• Hold formal responsibility for product recalls and complaints, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of technical registration documentation and product files submitted to SFDA and other authorities.
• Ensure manufacturing operations adhere to GMP requirements, including the approval of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packaging Records (BPR).
• Authorize site quality improvement plans, technical change controls (facilities, production lines, product components), and annual product review reports.
• Review and approve the self-inspection plan (Inspection Audit Universe), and audit and CAPA reports generated by relevant departments.
• Provide finished product batch release during the absence of the Quality Lead and authorize any reprocessing/rework requests as required.
• Approve quality risk assessments, incident/deviation management, and associated CAPAs, ensuring robust documentation and governance.
• Drive proactive talent management within the technical team, including succession planning, capability building, and support for graduate and industrial placement programs.

Experience and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a relevant technical leadership role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of GMP, QMS principles, and regulatory requirements (SFDA, MOH).
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical functions and teams.
