The Role of Therapeutic Area Partner, Hematology

The Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Hematology is a full-time, field-based position located in Jeddah and Makkah, Makkah region. This role is responsible for facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in hematology. The TAP serves as the primary point of contact for HCPs, ensuring timely and scientifically appropriate engagement. The role also involves engaging with a broader range of stakeholders, including clinical pharmacists, HEOR experts, and multidisciplinary teams, to support the safe and appropriate use of BMS products. A minimum of 90% of working time is expected to be spent in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of disease expertise and understand the treatment landscape, including HCP mapping.
  • Collect and synthesize clinical data, providing insights to internal stakeholders for strategic direction.
  • Identify knowledge and care gaps within the territory and implement learning programs for HCPs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan in line with agreed metrics and KPIs.
  • Prepare and present information to HCPs, responding to questions with medical accuracy.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific and product-related questions using approved tools.
  • Maintain expertise on emerging data related to BMS products and provide medical insights to internal teams.
  • Develop hospital mapping and patient journeys to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlistment.
  • Collaborate with HCPs across hospitals and institutions to support timely access and formulary enlistment of approved indications and products.
  • Communicate the scientific and economic value of BMS products, including HEOR evidence, to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders to understand HCP challenges.
  • Develop and deliver plans aligned with cross-functional team and product objectives.
  • Deliver scientifically meaningful programs related to disease areas and ensure effective execution.
  • Proactively seek cross-functional input for a comprehensive understanding of the treatment landscape.

Compliance and Ethical Conduct

  • Promote and uphold a culture of compliance.
  • Adhere to all internal and external rules and regulations.
  • Report any potential compliance concerns to management or the Compliance Department.
  • Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating ethical and professional conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The salary for this position will be disclosed during the recruitment process.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, field-based position primarily covering Jeddah and Makkah within the Makkah region. The role requires significant engagement with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders in the field.
