About the Role

Flow Progressive Logistics is seeking a Vendor Manager to join our team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is critical for securing reliable, compliant, and cost-effective outsourced transportation capacity. The Vendor Manager will own the entire vendor lifecycle, from sourcing and onboarding to performance, risk, and relationship management, with a continuous focus on improving service and optimizing outsourced costs.

Role Context and Collaboration

The Vendor Manager is primarily responsible for managing capacity and vendor performance. This role works in close collaboration with several internal departments: Procurement handles sourcing governance and contracts, Operations manages dispatch and execution, and Finance is responsible for validating financial results and savings. The position involves strategic planning and hands-on management to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing strategies, market maps, and capacity forecasts.
  • Maintain a diversified vendor portfolio that aligns with growth and service requirements.
  • Lead RFQs, commercial evaluations, and negotiations in conjunction with Procurement.
  • Benchmark rates and track verified savings and cost avoidance.
  • Allocate volumes based on service, cost, and risk within delegated authority.
  • Lead due diligence, onboarding processes, and ensure operational readiness for vendors.
  • Maintain accurate vendor master data, documents, rates, and approved scope.
  • Manage vendor renewals, suspensions, and exits collaboratively with Procurement.
  • Own vendor scorecards, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance-improvement plans.
  • Resolve commercial and service disputes, escalating material exceptions as necessary.
  • Identify and implement new outsourcing opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor concentration risk, business continuity, insurance, and contingency capacity.
  • Enforce compliance with HSSE, regulatory, security, and company policies.
  • Maintain audit evidence and address any governance gaps.
  • Lead the Vendor Supervisor, setting priorities and reviewing performance cadence.
  • Drive accountability and foster collaboration among vendors and internal teams.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field within logistics or transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex vendor relationships and drive performance improvements.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with commercial evaluations and RFQs.
  • Proficiency in risk management, compliance, and contract administration.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a proactive approach to managing external partners and fostering strong internal collaboration to achieve strategic objectives.
