About the Role

Petro Rabigh is seeking a Plant Operator (Field) for the Polyethylene Gas Phase Section. This full-time position, based in Rabigh, involves performing and assisting in plant operations, ensuring efficient functioning, and responding to emergency conditions. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform or assist in the startup and shutdown of assigned plants and facilities according to approved operating procedures and instructions.
• Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs of plant facilities to ensure efficient functioning.
• Identify malfunctions or symptoms and report them to the Shift Supervisor or console operator.
• Respond to emergency or upset conditions by taking necessary field actions such as flaring, blowdown, isolation, diversion, and switching activities, while maintaining close communication with the Console Operator and Shift Supervisor.
• Collect samples and perform process chemical and physical tests as required.
• Support or assist the Shift Supervisor as required and instructed, including communication with other sections, contractors, or vendors, and issuing work permits.
• Perform in-plant housekeeping duties.
• Provide appropriate technical advice to other field operators or share experiences with colleagues, upon request, to realize efficient and effective operations.
• Monitor the assigned operating area, take corrective actions within authorized limits, and report any issues requiring additional support to the direct supervisor.
• Successfully complete all required PRC qualification programs, including JTS and OCCP assessments, to maintain operational certification.
• Handle emergency situations in accordance with PRC procedures and protocols.
• Participate in training, qualification, and development programs as required, including MTC assignments when applicable.

Minimum Requirements

• Plant-specific understanding of mechanism and start/stop field operation.
• Basic understanding of instruments, DCS, and emergency shutdown systems.
• Thorough understanding of refinery or petrochemical plant layout and operating processes.
• Safety awareness and implementation of safety policy and hazard protection.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic industrial setting focused on petrochemical operations.
