Security Systems Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

Anotech is seeking a Security Systems Commissioning Engineer for a contract position in Tabuk, specifically covering Duba and Tabuk. This role is central to the Green Hydrogen Project, focusing on the coordination, verification, documentation, and operational handover of physical security systems during the Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) phase. The engineer will also support the transition to an operator-owned security model in early operations.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to integrate vendor testing, HCIS/SAIS evidence, security operations readiness, training, defect closeout, and sustainable ownership of technical security systems. The position operates within a live mega-project environment, managing the transition from system completion and commissioning into start-up, performance demonstration, handover, and early operations support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination, verification, documentation, and operational handover of assigned physical security systems.
• Coordinate across Engineering, Construction, Quality, EHS, Operations, the client, specialist vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring clear technical and safety accountabilities.
• Manage commissioning readiness, test coordination, completion evidence, punch-list closure, turnover quality, and operational handover for the assigned discipline.
• Provide field leadership and disciplined documentation to support "Proof of Compliance" while vendors and contractors perform equipment-specific testing, programming, configuration, energization, and troubleshooting.
• Support temporary operating arrangements, reliability runs, defect resolution, training, spares and warranty interfaces, and stabilization during early operations.
• Cover assigned systems including access control, CCTV, video management, intrusion detection, security intercom, ALPR, turnstiles and gates, security networks, PSIM, radar, sonar, and other integrated perimeter or building-security systems.
• Support the transition from EPC-delivered security arrangements to operating-organization ownership, including control-room interfaces, procedures, competency, maintenance readiness, and compliance evidence.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in security systems commissioning.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex technical systems within large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in managing documentation for compliance and operational handover.

This is a contract position based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities spanning Duba and Tabuk. The role involves working within a dynamic mega-project environment, requiring coordination with various stakeholders and a focus on transitioning systems from commissioning to operational phases.
