The Opportunity: Senior Project / Water Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project / Water Engineer to join its team in Duba. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience in a professional heavy water engineering position. The successful candidate will contribute to projects that involve detailed engineering assignments, system optimization, and safety analysis related to heavy water systems.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and correlate heavy water engineering data using established procedures, including isotopic analysis, purity assessments, and system performance metrics.
Perform detailed engineering assignments involving heavy water reactor calculations, tritium management, and specialized testing protocols.
Propose approaches to solve new heavy water engineering challenges by modifying standard procedures or applying methods developed in previous assignments.
Identify discrepancies in heavy water system results and recommend corrective actions.
Provide technical guidance to entry-level engineers on heavy water handling, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Execute work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with heavy water regulatory standards.
Independently complete all tasks necessary for primary design elements of heavy water engineering works, including system optimization and safety analysis.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional heavy water engineering position.
Demonstrated developmental experience in heavy water engineering.
Proficiency in heavy water engineering data correlation, isotopic analysis, and purity assessments.
Experience with heavy water reactor calculations, tritium management, and specialized testing protocols.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in heavy water system results.
Familiarity with heavy water regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a full-time position based in Duba. The role involves working independently on key tasks while providing guidance to junior team members, maintaining compliance with industry standards and project timelines.
