About the Role

Jazera Arabia Contracting is seeking a qualified Safety Engineer with over 10 years of experience, specifically in road and bridge construction projects. This full-time, field-based position is located in Riyadh and Afif, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing health and safety activities across various construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Monitor safety performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
Prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans (HSE Plans).
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
Coordinate with project teams, managers, consultants, and contractors to maintain safety standards.
Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
A minimum of 15 years of relevant health and safety experience.
Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects.
Extensive experience in managing safety activities on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
Proficiency in hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.
Knowledge of safety requirements for excavation, lifting operations, working at heights, and heavy equipment operations.
Strong communication, reporting, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fully field-based role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, field-based position requiring regular presence on construction sites in Riyadh and Afif. The role involves direct oversight and coordination of safety activities within dynamic project environments.
