We are looking to hire a competent Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities across various categories of spend, ensure better deals, and collaborate with profitable suppliers. Our client is a renowned mining group based in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies.
- Track and report on key functional metrics to reduce expenses.
- Craft negotiation strategies to secure optimal supplier deals.
- Manage daily purchasing activities and supervise the team.
- Ensure all procured items meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct risk assessments and vendor evaluations.
- Administer the bidding process and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Enhance purchasing methods and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and forecast demand levels.
Skills and Requirements:
- BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Agent, or in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Leadership capabilities and ability to work independently.
- Effective time management skills.
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks as needed.
- Thorough understanding of materials and supplies management.
