Role Overview: Accounting Manager

Chalhoub Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities covering both Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial legislations, and managing tax-related activities. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare and review appropriate ledger accounting data.
• Maintain the general ledger system and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Provide accurate data and recommendations to the controlling team and CFO.
• Ensure all accounting processes align with IFRS and current local financial legislations.
• Ensure major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Improve processes and initiate corrective actions, helping to uniformize processes across brands at the local level.
• Report P&L and BS to HQ.
• Facilitate and manage the preparation of all company tax forms (tax returns, income tax, withholding tax).
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax forms, planning and developing the overall filing calendar.
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, supporting new income tax implementation.
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
• Assist the controlling team with all compliance requirements, ensuring a robust control environment in line with Group standards and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting management.
• Demonstrated understanding of IFRS and local financial legislations.
• Experience in managing daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in tax preparation and compliance procedures.
• Ability to coordinate and complete annual audits.
