About the Role

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a Chef de Partie to join its culinary team in Makkah. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and kitchen operations. The role involves daily food production and duties designed to meet established quality and service standards, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and execute food production across various sections of the main kitchen or satellite areas.
• Coordinate daily tasks and production schedules effectively with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Follow all instructions and recommendations provided by immediate superiors to ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
• Actively participate in the setup and supervision of buffets and special functions.
• Consult and verify daily requirements, upcoming functions, and last-minute event needs to ensure preparedness.

Operational Standards and Quality Assurance

• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation, staying informed about new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other kitchen sections regarding ingredient requirements, cleanliness protocols, wastage control, and cost management.

Team Leadership and Development

• Instruct and lead subordinate kitchen staff through their daily food preparation requirements.
• Guide and train subordinates on a daily basis to foster high motivation and promote an economical working environment.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment. We are seeking passionate and dynamic kitchen professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver high levels of customer service and provide creative solutions.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the culinary team of Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high operational standards in a dynamic kitchen setting.
