About the Role: General Cashier

Marriott International is seeking a General Cashier for a full-time position in Makkah. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of the property, focusing on the accurate processing and secure management of financial transactions and records. The General Cashier ensures all financial activities comply with established company policies and procedures, requiring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to strict guidelines.

Key Financial Responsibilities

• Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information accurately.
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using appropriate systems.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and generate specified reports.
• Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage the maintenance, distribution, and recording of petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts.
• Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all Cash Variances as per SOPs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the property and armored car services or the main banking institution.

Compliance and Operational Standards

• Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes, ensuring full compliance with SOPs.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Safeguard the privacy and security of guests and coworkers at all times.

Professional Communication and Teamwork

• Communicate effectively with others using clear and professional language.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and ensure coworkers understand their tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, supporting the team to achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in a financial or cashiering role. The ability to meticulously check figures, postings, and codes is essential. This role requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures, along with a strong commitment to maintaining the security and organization of financial records and cash equivalents.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This full-time position in Makkah operates within a dynamic financial environment. The role may require the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. The General Cashier will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
