About Panasonic Avionics and the Role

Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a leader in delivering inflight products such as movies, games, WiFi, and Bluetooth headphone connectivity, is seeking a Lead Maintenance Services Representative. With over 40 years in the industry, the company offers a stable environment and opportunities for career growth. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, within the Makkah region, and involves leading line station employees and coordinating operations to ensure the serviceability and functionality of Aircraft In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems and other aircraft equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, coach, and assign daily schedules and tasks to line station teams.
Oversee and perform full line maintenance, including IFEC systems, efficiently during transit checks in accordance with contractual obligations or Panasonic Line Maintenance Procedures (LMP).
Troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify necessary repairs, including the removal and replacement of defective Line Replaceable Units (LRU) as authorized.
Perform Cabin Sweeps, Built-in Tests (BIT), and manual testing according to procedures.
Assist with software and media loading, and clean components and equipment racks.
Perform defect rectification on airframe, engine, and systems as per contractual obligations.
Ensure timely escalation and coordination of problems with supervisors or managers.
Communicate and interface directly with customers regarding system performance.
Certify all completed work under company or airline-issued authority in accordance with governing regulations.
Coordinate between the customer and Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) divisions to monitor system performance against contractual levels.
Actively promote the PAC Safety Management System (SMS) culture and maintain high-quality standards.
Lead station operations, optimizing resource utilization and expenses, and produce shift rosters to meet operational requirements.
Ensure staff compliance with PAC and customer procedures, and confirm availability of necessary resources, tools, and test equipment.

Administrative Duties

Accurately complete Panasonic and airline required maintenance documentation, including electronic data entry and/or paper-based systems, within a timely manner to meet QA standards.
Execute and monitor inventory, cycle counting, packaging, and shipping of inventory.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, and tool care.
Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically with IFEC systems or similar aircraft equipment.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot, perform component replacement, and conduct functional tests.
Proficiency in completing aircraft documentation in accordance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
Strong understanding of safety management systems and quality assurance processes.

Working Environment

The role may involve working in various conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, outdoor weather, confined or enclosed spaces, and areas with loud noise levels or dust. It may require standing or walking for extended periods, working near moving machinery, at heights, or in low-light environments. Regular lifting or moving of heavy objects and prolonged use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary, along with repetitive physical motions.
