Sustainability Manager

About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead the development and implementation of the company's sustainability strategies. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operations in Jeddah and Makkah, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on enhancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring alignment with corporate and societal values.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Conduct regular assessments of environmental, social, and governance impacts to identify improvement opportunities.
• Set and monitor KPIs to track the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Create long-term sustainability roadmaps that align with industry standards, regulatory changes, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop detailed plans for specific sustainability initiatives, including objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure effective allocation of financial, human, and technical resources.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, HR, marketing) to integrate sustainability objectives across departments.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and industry groups.
• Prepare and deliver sustainability reports, presentations, and updates to senior management and investors.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability.
• Identify and explore new technologies, practices, and trends in sustainability to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead pilot programs for sustainable practices, tracking their success and potential scalability.
• Support in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching of subordinates.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor workflow.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sustainability management or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sustainability strategies.
• Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and reporting.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory changes related to sustainability.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and communication.
