Technician Communications

About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton is seeking a Technician Communications to join their team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and enhancement of information technology and communication systems within the hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate IT-related equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Operate computer and peripheral equipment by entering commands and activating controls.
• Resolve non-routine problems related to hardware, software, or guest room internet access.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements for technology systems.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of technology devices.
• Manage and maintain PBX/telephone switchboard systems and associated hardware.
• Ensure computer and telephone rooms are kept locked at all times, with access restricted using an interrogated key system.

Operational Duties

• Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.

• Ensure employee compliance with company standards, policies, and external regulations, serving as a departmental role model or mentor.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.

Physical Requirements and System Usage

• Read and visually verify information.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Enter and locate information using computers and/or Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Additional Information

The Technician Communications will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining and improving communication infrastructure within a dynamic hospitality environment.
