About the Carpenter Role at Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a Carpenter to join its full-time maintenance team in Makkah. This role is integral to ensuring the hotel's facilities are well-maintained, contributing to a high level of service for guests. The successful candidate will be a dedicated professional focused on delivering effective maintenance solutions.

Role Purpose and Scope

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for the construction, erection, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures primarily made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This involves utilizing a range of carpenter's hand tools and power tools to execute tasks efficiently and to required standards within the hotel premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair works as required throughout the hotel.
• Address day-to-day carpentry-related maintenance issues within the hotel building.
• Install and repair shelving and cabinet constructions.
• Repair and secure door locks, security items, and various types of windows and glazing.
• Handle partition woodworking machinery and undertake minor general building tasks.
• Remove and replace damaged or defective parts or sections of structures using appropriate hand tools.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in hotel rooms and public areas, applying paint, using hand tools, and installing paneling.
• Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard, and sand patches using patching plaster, a trowel, and sanding tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a carpentry or related maintenance role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
