Dairy Industrial Development Manager

About the Role

BinDawood Holding is seeking a Dairy Industrial Development Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and developing local dairy manufacturing and co-packing partnerships across Saudi Arabia. The position combines expertise in dairy manufacturing, factory assessment, commercial evaluation, and business development, with an emphasis on building local processing capabilities for cheese, cream, and formulated dairy products.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify Saudi dairy factories capable of toll-processing Cagliata into finished mozzarella.
• Identify manufacturers and co-packers capable of cutting, slicing, shredding, grating, packing, and private-labeling Gouda, Edam, and Cheddar cheese.
• Identify facilities capable of repacking bulk and frozen cream.
• Assess whether existing Saudi manufacturers can produce formulated pizza toppings using dairy ingredients and vegetable fats.
• Conduct on-site factory visits across Saudi Arabia to evaluate production equipment, technical capabilities, available capacity, quality systems, SFDA compliance, and cold-chain infrastructure.
• Obtain and analyze actual processing costs per kilogram, minimum order quantities (MOQs), available production capacity, lead times, and potential investment requirements.
• Negotiate and coordinate trial production with selected manufacturing partners using supplied dairy materials.
• Evaluate potential manufacturing partners from technical, operational, quality, and commercial perspectives.
• Work closely with BinDawood commercial teams to establish expected volumes, target selling prices, and overall commercial feasibility.
• Develop recommendations and business cases for potential local manufacturing and co-packing partnerships.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in dairy manufacturing, cheese processing, food manufacturing, industrial development, or a related field.
• Strong technical understanding of dairy and cheese manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of the Saudi dairy manufacturing landscape and local food production facilities is highly preferred.
• Experience evaluating factories, production lines, manufacturing capacity, and quality systems.
• Understanding of SFDA requirements, food safety standards, and cold-chain operations.
• Experience in costing, contract/toll manufacturing, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel and conduct factory visits across Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in dairy companies, cheese manufacturers, food-processing companies, or dairy ingredients businesses within Saudi Arabia or the GCC will be strongly preferred.
