Enterprise Architect Cloud Native Platform Engineering

About the Role

Codification is seeking an Enterprise Architect Cloud Native Platform Engineering to lead the architecture, design, and initial deployment of a complex, secure, and large-scale cloud-native platform environment. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah. The role requires a candidate with over 10 years of experience who can translate requirements into implementable technical designs and work closely with engineering teams through deployment and operational readiness.

Platform Environment Context

The platform environment involves large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure, high-performance computing (HPC), GPU workloads, secure/air-gapped environments, data movement, AI/ML platforms, software supply chains, and highly controlled enterprise infrastructure. The architect will collaborate with internal infrastructure, platform engineering, security, research, and engineering teams to establish the target architecture, technical standards, implementation roadmap, and operational model.

Enterprise and Solution Architecture Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of complex enterprise cloud-native platforms.
• Translate business, research, security, and infrastructure requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Define target-state architecture, reference architectures, architecture principles, and technology standards.
• Produce detailed High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), architecture diagrams, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Identify architectural dependencies, constraints, risks, and technology gaps.
• Establish architectural governance and ensure implementation aligns with the agreed target architecture.
• Work directly with senior stakeholders, infrastructure teams, security teams, platform engineers, and application/research teams.

Cloud-Native and Kubernetes Architecture Responsibilities

• Design and deploy large-scale Kubernetes platforms across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Architect Kubernetes multi-tenancy, cluster management, workload isolation, and platform services.
• Design GitOps-based platform operations using technologies such as Argo CD / Argo Workflows.
• Define infrastructure-as-code strategies using Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane, or equivalent technologies.
• Design automated provisioning, configuration management, scaling, upgrades, rollback, and lifecycle management.
• Architect highly available Kubernetes control.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess over 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes. The role requires a practical approach, moving beyond advisory functions to active design, implementation, and operational readiness.
