Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing the cleanliness and quality standards across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and the swimming pool. The supervisor will play a key role in ensuring compliance with established quality standards and supporting housekeeping management in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms, public areas, and the swimming pool after housekeeping attendant service to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Report on rented rooms, verify room status, identify unsuitable rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management with the coordination of daily activities.
• Liaise with housekeeping, engineering, front desk, and laundry departments to coordinate efforts.
• Document and resolve issues concerning unsuitable rooms with the front desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets and schedules.
• Report unresolved issues to the next team for follow-up.
• Perform necessary administrative tasks.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, recalling disciplinary rules, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures, report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, contributing to common team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Move at a required speed to respond to work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
• Read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for defects.
• Enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and POS systems.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring excellent motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces or steps.
• Ascend and descend stairs and service ramps.
• Continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and excellent motor skills.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds (25 kg) without assistance, and over 55 pounds (25 kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work equipment on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, kneel, sit, or walk for extended periods or at a high frequency for a full shift.
• Listen and respond appropriately to guest and employee concerns, using clear and courteous language.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification is required for this position.
