About the Manager Contracts Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a highly skilled Manager Contracts to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for overseeing comprehensive contract management for a significant project valued at 1100 Crore. The role demands a professional who can ensure efficient project execution and strict adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume end-to-end responsibility for estimation and quantity variation for the 1100 Crore project.
• Track project progress diligently and correspond with clients in accordance with mutually agreed project milestones.
• Provide daily progress updates from the site team to identify and raise any quantity variations from the contract.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Coordination

• Lead and manage a team of three contracts engineers, while also serving as the primary client interface.
• Coordinate effectively with the Project Director and Business Heads regarding claims against variations observed at project sites.
• Liaise with external agencies empaneled for contracts and claims, specifically for the railway business sector.

Contractual Compliance and Claims Management

• Identify any variations found in subcontractor billing and ensure timely notification to the respective contractors before or at the time of billing.
• Prepare and raise claims, notifying the client as per the mutually agreed terms and conditions stipulated in the contract.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of progressive experience in contract management. Demonstrated expertise in handling large-scale projects, particularly within infrastructure or railway sectors, is highly advantageous. A strong understanding of estimation, quantity variation, and claims processes is essential for success in this position.
