About the Role

Mars is seeking a Technical Operator to join its factory team in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves demonstrating ownership and responsibility for a defined set of machines, equipment, and processes within a shift team. The primary focus is on executing routine operational tasks to meet area targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to achieving production targets as a member of a shift team, which may comprise up to 15 associates.
• Assume accountability for the performance of assigned machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
• Execute routine operational tasks including machine start-up, shut-down, monitoring, cleaning, basic changeovers, and minor repairs.
• Conduct routine checks and inspections, and utilize basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.
• Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide comprehensive and accurate verbal and written handovers between shifts.
• Perform mechanical breakdown repairs using acquired knowledge and experience.

Qualifications and Education

• Education to GCSE level or above is required.
• Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding is considered beneficial for this role.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or Factory Operations industry is desirable.

Work Environment

This role operates within a factory setting in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, as part of a dedicated shift team. It is a full-time position.
