Technician Communications

About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton is seeking a Technician Communications to join their team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on managing and maintaining the hotel's communication and information technology infrastructure to ensure optimal reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements for IT-related equipment.
• Operate computer and peripheral equipment by entering commands and activating controls.
• Resolve non-routine issues related to hardware, software, or guest room internet access.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements within the IT domain.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology devices.
• Manage and maintain PBX/telephone switchboard systems and associated hardware.
• Ensure computer and telephone rooms are securely locked at all times, with access restricted via an interrogated key system.

Operational Compliance and Standards

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.

Team Collaboration and Efficiency

• Ensure employee compliance with company standards, policies, and external regulations, serving as a departmental role model or mentor.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.

Physical Requirements and General Duties

• Read and visually verify information accurately.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Enter and locate information using computers and/or Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
