About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Neom. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar PV plants and substations. The role requires adherence to Saudi electrical standards and HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities: Operations & Maintenance

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for a range of operational and maintenance tasks, including:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on PV modules, inverters, SCBs, UPS, and transformers.
• Conducting SCADA monitoring and resolving alarms and field issues.
• Operating and maintaining switchgear and protection systems across voltage ranges of 11kV to 220kV.
• Executing IR testing and rectifying faults in HT and DC cables.
• Maintaining robotic cleaning systems and sun-tracking mechanisms.

Project Execution and Commissioning Support

This role also involves supporting project execution and commissioning activities. Key duties include:

• Assisting with the erection, testing, and commissioning of transformers, HT/LT panels, and cables.
• Reviewing electrical drawings and coordinating QA/QC inspections.
• Leading commissioning activities in accordance with SEC and NEOM standards.

Safety and Compliance

Maintaining a strong safety culture is paramount. The technician will be expected to:

• Enforce LOTO and PTW systems in compliance with Saudi Aramco, SEC, and NEOM HSE protocols.
• Conduct safety briefings, drills, and first-aid sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for internal and external audits.

Team and Vendor Coordination

Effective collaboration is essential for this role. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising technical teams and ensuring effective shift handovers.
• Coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely execution of tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Experience required: 2-5 years.
