HUDSON is currently seeking a Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer - SME for a full-time opportunity in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. This role involves providing specialized technical expertise for rotating equipment within reliability studies and maintenance programs.

Role Purpose and Context

The Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer - SME will contribute technical knowledge during Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA/FMECA, and other reliability studies for rotating equipment. The position supports the identification of equipment functions, potential failures, and appropriate maintenance strategies to enhance reliability, availability, safety, and overall lifecycle performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for rotating equipment during RCM, FMEA, and reliability workshops.
• Define and validate equipment functions, performance standards, and functional failures.
• Identify credible failure modes, failure mechanisms, and degradation processes specific to rotating equipment.
• Evaluate equipment failure consequences related to safety, environment, production, and maintenance costs.
• Review equipment history, bad actor reports, vibration data, oil analysis reports, and inspection findings.
• Recommend appropriate maintenance strategies based on analysis.
• Assess maintenance intervals considering equipment criticality, failure characteristics, and operating context.
• Review OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for recurring equipment failures.
• Validate maintenance tasks and spare-parts requirements generated from RCM studies.
• Identify reliability improvement opportunities and equipment design enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance on risk mitigation and equipment lifecycle management.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from SAR 8,000 to 14,000 per month, in addition to Housing Rent Allowance (HRA) and Travel Allowance (TA).
