Software Engineer

About the Role

Al-Sawab Commercial Company is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Yanbu‘ al Baḩr, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position where the Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the company’s operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement back-end features and write clean, efficient code.
• Integrate various systems and APIs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and participate in code reviews.
• Refine requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ensure software reliability, performance, and security.
• Contribute to technical documentation.
• Support deployment activities.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including working with server-side frameworks and databases.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and the ability to design modular, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with version control systems (*, Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with testing practices, debugging, and performance optimization is beneficial.

Work Environment

This role is based full-time on-site in Yanbu‘ al Baḩr. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
