About the Paramedic Role at Almoosa Health Group

Almoosa Health Group is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our full-time team in Al-Ahsa, Eastern Province. This role is central to providing personalized, coordinated care, support, and treatment for patients and their families within our dynamic healthcare environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with comfort, mobility, and personal needs such as changing into gowns and bathroom assistance.
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, weights (for pediatric patients), and pulse oximetry readings.
  • Apply and monitor cardiac and/or non-invasive blood pressure equipment as necessary.
  • Manage medical records and promptly communicate patient conditions and significant changes to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Physicians.
  • Respond to emergencies by performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) during medical codes and ensuring crash carts are checked and restocked per protocol.
  • Assist RNs with ambulance runs, patient placement in appropriate beds, and inter-hospital patient transportation.
  • Perform medical procedures such as applying simple and complex dressings, EKGs, and splinting; transport specimens to the laboratory.
  • Orient patients and families to the Emergency Department (ED) room, call light systems, and access to supervising nurses, while maintaining patient privacy (HIPAA).
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families, and facilitate appropriate visitation times.
  • Proactively identify, report, and participate in resolving patient safety issues initiated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to body mechanics, demonstrating appropriate use of personal protective equipment, and practicing hand hygiene.
  • Assist in managing patients with assaultive behavior and report all unusual incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Order and stock specialized supplies as needed and assist with the training of new employees.
  • Attend and maintain mandatory training, applying Patient Safety Goals in daily practice.
  • Perform other assigned or requested duties consistent with the role.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time Paramedic position are required to possess 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant paramedic role, demonstrating proficiency in emergency medical care and patient support within a healthcare setting.
