Process Operator

About the Role

S-Chem is seeking a Process Operator to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role involves operating and maintaining plant equipment to achieve production objectives safely and efficiently. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose

The Process Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining plant equipment to meet company production objectives. This includes ensuring operations are conducted in a safe, cost-effective, and reliable manner, aligned with daily operating plans and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with EHS policies and procedures, applying risk control measures to ensure safe work activities.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel within the assigned work area, adhering to safety precautions and procedures.
• Operate plant equipment safely and correctly to achieve production and quality objectives.
• Assist with basic frontline maintenance, process sampling, and testing.
• Provide support for basic troubleshooting during all operational modes, including process upset conditions.
• Prepare process equipment and work areas for mechanical, maintenance, and turnaround activities.
• Monitor plant equipment performance and process conditions, taking routine readings of process variables.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for process operations.
• Maintain close communication with the shift leader and head operator regarding activities and status.
• Perform hazard identification and mitigation for effective and safe equipment preparation for maintenance handover.
• Follow up on and implement the weekly PM/CM maintenance schedule.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis.
• Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
• Undertake accountabilities in the operational excellence process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes for the assigned area.
• Perform other relevant tasks as directed by the Shift Leader.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, within the Eastern region. The role involves working within a plant environment, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols and operational procedures.
