The Senior Sales Engineer Role

Siemens is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join the Smart Infrastructure Building Team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on the Solution business, specifically in selling integrated security and fire alarm system solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing sales targets and activities, developing senior partners, and representing the complete portfolio with a focus on safety solutions. This role operates within a dynamic environment, managing multiple opportunities across KSA, and requires close collaboration with other business units within Siemens Smart Infrastructure to achieve regional sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales performance for assigned product lines within the designated area.
  • Generate profitable sales and engage clients consultatively to offer tailored, fully integrated Smart Solutions in Security and fire alarm systems.
  • Develop and implement new strategies for Siemens SI B Systems.
  • Promote Siemens products and solutions to consultants, contractors, EPCs, and end-users across various industries.
  • Collaborate with other teams to cross-sell solutions and strengthen the Siemens brand.
  • Coordinate and negotiate proposals in collaboration with Back Office and support functions to ensure efficient customer service.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape and establish strong connections with key stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, and contribute to business development strategies.
  • Identify and influence early-stage projects by connecting with consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Establish relationships with key end-users in private, government, and semi-government sectors, along with major engineering design and consulting firms, to influence projects from early stages.
  • Act as a Senior Sales Specialist and acquire/develop new customer accounts.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle, from project identification and offer compilation to contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with technical standards, managing financial risks, maintaining positive cash flow, and securing favorable terms in line with Siemens Business Guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business forecasts using CRM applications.
  • Work in cooperation with other Business Units and departments, leveraging Cross-BU Selling and the Siemens Overall Brand.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An engineering bachelor’s degree from a reputable University.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in Sales and Solution Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Experience in low-current systems for a manufacturer or channel partner.
  • Understanding of promoting premium solutions with value-selling against price-driven market/competitors.
  • Preferred experience in Siemens SI B products.
  • Preferred good understanding of the latest Aramco processes and standards.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong Saudi market knowledge of Contractors, Consultants, and End-Users in the Eastern Region.
  • Dynamic, energetic, and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Good understanding of Contract Terms and Conditions as per Saudi Law.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Integrative team working style with a self-driven attitude.
  • Strong organizational and sales management skills.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Area Sales Manager, Solutions & Services, Smart Infrastructure Buildings BU, Siemens Industries, KSA. The Senior Sales Engineer will join a dynamic and diverse team and can expect support from the entire team.
