Senior Mechanical Engineer (Piping ) (offshore)

About the Role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Piping) to join its engineering team. This full-time position is based in Al Khafji, Eastern region, and is integral to a major Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project. The role focuses on providing technical assurance and review for piping systems within an offshore context.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance on piping system design, layout, and material selection.
• Review EPC contractor piping deliverables, including piping isometrics, line lists, stress analysis reports, and material specifications, for compliance with codes such as ASME ** and API.
• Evaluate piping routing, flexibility, and support arrangements.
• Verify consistency between 3D models, drawings, and field conditions.
• Review vendor documentation for piping components and valves.
• Support constructability and layout reviews to ensure safe and maintainable designs.
• Participate in inspection, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities to confirm compliance with design requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with piping systems.
• Experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is for an offshore project, requiring a professional who can adapt to the specific demands of such an environment. The position is full-time within Penspen's engineering team.
