About the Role

Alfanar is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee project execution and sales operations within a designated area. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and focuses on ensuring quality service delivery, effective financial management, and strong customer relationships. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee planned actions related to quality of execution, contract deliveries, customer inspections, target deliveries, and invoicing commitments.
  • Manage the effective conduct of Weekly Progress Meetings and project deliverables.
  • Manage all necessary documents for project activity follow-up, including reports, invoicing planning, and management information.
  • Ensure that booked Sales Orders align with company policies and approve SAP entries and registrations.
  • Apply technical knowledge of Alfanar product range to promote products and their benefits against competitors.
  • Resolve customer complaints related to sales and services, ensuring high customer satisfaction and a low number of complaints.
  • Directly respond to after-sales service cases.
  • Manage the status of all agreements monthly and maximize their utilization.

Financial and Operational Oversight

  • Monitor and control budget margins, aiming to improve or maintain them.
  • Analyze and compare monthly sales performance against budget and take corrective actions.
  • Manage the current load and forecasting of future loads, coordinating with the Technical/Design department.
  • Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers, exposing them to create a robust second line of management.
  • Recognize low performers and guide them to improve or manage their release.
  • Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, basing assessment criteria on performance that leads to planned results.
  • Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

Strategic Contributions and Business Improvement

  • Take full responsibility for the operation as per the job description and required deliverables, considering general company guidelines.
  • Anticipate problems and make necessary proactive steps to prevent them.
  • Make necessary and proper timely decisions.
  • Deliver required results in a timely manner with specified quality and cost, making a tangible difference to the area of operation and exceeding business expectations.
  • Transform corporate goals into business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these annual or development plans.
  • Monitor plan performance and initiate actions to strengthen results, taking corrective actions accordingly.
  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans, and ensure availability of job descriptions for all roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
  • Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full utilization.
  • Uphold quality as Alfanar’s prime competitive advantage.
  • Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment as per standard regulations.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in sales and project management, demonstrating strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role requires an individual capable of strategic planning, operational oversight, and continuous improvement within a dynamic sales environment, contributing significantly to Alfanar's objectives in the Eastern region.
