Role Overview: Events Coordinator

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Events Coordinator to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for the successful planning and execution of various events, ensuring all preparations align with guest expectations and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with group coordinators or hosts before receptions to make introductions and confirm all preparations are agreed upon.
• Read and analyze banquet orders to gather guest information, determine proper setup, establish timelines, and identify specific guest needs, including buffets and food stations.
• Attend to and fulfill all special banquet preparations required for events.
• Follow up on special banquet preparations to ensure their timely and complete execution.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
• Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect; contribute to team goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Required Experience and Attributes

Candidates for the Events Coordinator position should have 0-1 years of experience in a related field. The role requires individuals who are organized, attentive to detail, and capable of working effectively within a service-oriented team environment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This full-time role involves various physical requirements to effectively manage event operations, including:

• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than 25 pounds (** kg) without assistance.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or for the entire work shift.
• Reading and visually verifying information in various formats, including fine print.
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Ascending and descending stairs and/or service ramps.
