About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Craftsman, Mechanical to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role involves executing tasks as instructed by a superior, applying acquired mechanical skills, and prioritizing personal and team safety in all operations.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Perform work according to instructions provided by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Apply acquired mechanical skills to the best of one's abilities.
• Ensure personal safety and the safety of others, with safety as the primary priority.
• Assist with shift and general maintenance activities as a team member.
• Participate in carrying out planned jobs within the plant as required.
• Execute tasks such as gearbox, pumps, cylinders, and valve overhauling/testing, and roller assembly/testing, reporting any issues to the superior.
• Perform welding jobs.
• Demonstrate multi-skilled capabilities.
• Understand basic mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies.
• Follow all safety instructions pertinent to assigned jobs.
• Report damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to the relevant staff.
• Maintain provided PPE in good, workable condition.
• Avoid any horseplay and misuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
• Attend scheduled safety trainings.
• Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Qualifications and Requirements

• For Expatriate Candidates: 10 years of schooling plus a 2-year Industrial Technical Institute Course in mechanical-related disciplines (*, Mechanical Fitter, Rigger, Fabricator, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Hydraulic Fitter, Electro Mechanical Technician, Turner, Machinist).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Work Experience: 5 to 7 years of industrial experience, specifically within a steel melt shop environment.

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience for this role.
