Sourcing Specialist

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves managing the purchasing process for specific products, ensuring alignment with procurement policies and serving as a key interface between suppliers and internal entities regarding specifications and budgets. The specialist will contribute to the quality of their own work and that of their team members, focusing on standard facilitation activities and providing advice within established professional policies.

Role Context

The Sourcing Specialist applies procurement policies and procedures to manage the purchasing process for a defined set of products. This position requires executing standard facilitation activities and offering guidance within professional policies and routines. The role allows for some flexibility in task prioritization based on evolving situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the purchase order to supplier payment process for specified commodities, adhering to organizational safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
• Lead reporting and control for one or more of the sourcing team's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Engage with internal customers to resolve fulfillment challenges.
• Develop and implement improvement plans for assigned commodities through daily management, supplier qualification, and negotiation.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within sourcing operations.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure all data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Basic experience in sourcing, with 0-1 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
