The Barista Role

The Barista operates as an integral part of the daily coffee shop team, focusing on the preparation of high-quality beverages and efficient point-of-sale operations. This role requires a candidate capable of supporting all aspects of daily operations with precision and a commitment to service excellence, ensuring the readiness of the work area and adherence to quality standards.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold beverages in adherence to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer orders accurately and promptly.
• Execute daily financial closing procedures and review sales movements according to established policies.
• Monitor daily cash transactions and submit financial reports to the supervisor.
• Conduct daily inventory checks and identify operational supply needs.
• Prepare the work area for the subsequent day, ensuring the availability of essential materials and tools.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Deliver professional customer service that upholds the coffee shop's image and standards.
• Support the team with various daily operational tasks to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Undertake any other tasks related to the nature of the work or as assigned by management.
