ACCOUNTANT GENERAL

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a General Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves performing various financial activities, including preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
• Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of year-end financial reports and documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting principles.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.
• Monitor accounts receivable for timely collections and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist management in analyzing financial data to support decision-making.
• Monitor and track expenses to ensure budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within the defined area of work.

Experience Required

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
