About the Application Support Management Specialist Role

Cody Software Solutions is seeking an Application Support Management Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for governing and managing the entire lifecycle of business applications within a department. The specialist will ensure applications remain secure, fully supported, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with organizational technology standards. This involves managing upgrades, vendor support, vulnerabilities, certifications, and regulatory commitments.

This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to develop expertise in application lifecycle management.

Application Lifecycle Management

The Application Support Management Specialist will oversee the complete lifecycle of assigned applications, ensuring their stability and longevity. Key responsibilities include:

Managing the application lifecycle for all assigned applications.
Maintaining a comprehensive application inventory, detailing versions, support lifecycle, and technology stack.
Planning, coordinating, and tracking application upgrades, patches, and version updates.
Ensuring all applications maintain vendor support and proactively identifying End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) risks.
Monitoring SSL/TLS certificates, application certificates, and license renewals to ensure timely renewal and prevent service disruption.
Managing vendor deliverables and following up on support cases, patches, product roadmaps, and upgrade plans.

Security and Compliance Oversight

A core function of this role is to ensure applications adhere to security protocols and regulatory mandates. This involves:

Tracking and coordinating the closure of security vulnerabilities in collaboration with application owners, vendors, and cybersecurity teams.
Ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations, audit findings, and internal governance requirements.
Tracking and managing regulatory requirements, audit observations, and remediation plans through to closure.
Coordinating application assessments, health checks, and periodic reviews to maintain optimal performance and security.
Identifying potential application risks and proposing effective mitigation plans.
Ensuring application operational readiness is achieved before production releases.

Documentation and Reporting

The specialist will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation and providing clear reports on application status. Specific duties include:

Maintaining accurate application documentation, architecture diagrams, dependency mapping, and operational records.
Preparing management dashboards and reports that cover application health, vulnerabilities, upgrade status, compliance, and identified risks.

Inter-Departmental Collaboration

Effective collaboration with various internal teams is essential for success in this role. The specialist will:

Coordinate with Infrastructure, Information Security, Release Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Business teams during application changes.
Support budgeting and planning activities related to application upgrades, licensing, and vendor support.
