Architectural Draftsman Fitout Immediate Joining ONLY

About the Role

AMAQ is seeking an Architectural Draftsman specializing in Fitout projects for immediate full-time joining in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires an expert in AutoCAD with a strong background in high-end commercial interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Architectural Shop Drawings for high-end commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Develop fully coordinated Floor Plans, Partition Layouts, Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP), Flooring Layouts, Wall Finishes, Elevations, Sections, and Construction Details.
• Create architectural shop drawings based on IFC drawings, specifications, BOQ, approved design drawings, and site measurements.
• Prepare detailed partition drawings, including gypsum board, glass, acoustic, and fire-rated partitions, along with associated fixing details.
• Prepare detailed ceiling shop drawings, encompassing gypsum ceilings, bulkheads, ceiling features, access panels, shadow gaps, and lighting integration.
• Develop flooring shop drawings, including tile layouts, marble, carpet, vinyl, raised flooring, skirting, thresholds, and transition details.
• Prepare door and ironmongery schedules, glazing details, wall finishes schedules, and architectural material schedules.
• Develop large-scale architectural details, including fixing methods, junction details, installation details, and interfaces between different materials.
• Coordinate with Architects and MEP Engineers to prepare fully coordinated architectural drawings incorporating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
• Identify and resolve architectural, structural, joinery, and MEP clashes before issuing drawings for site execution.
• Prepare as-built drawings at project start (dilapidation) and project end (closeout).
• Conduct site measurements to verify actual site dimensions and existing conditions before preparing final shop drawings.
• Incorporate consultant/client comments and revise drawings until final approval.
• Coordinate closely with Architects, Interior Designers, MEP Engineers, Site Engineers, Project Managers, and Joinery Production Teams.
• Prepare detailed material interfaces, setting-out drawings, and installation details for high-end architectural finishes.
• Update Drawing logs, material logs, and client submissions, maintaining a tracker of all work.
• Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, drawing registers, and submission records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Mandatory: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit/BIM capability is an advantage.
• Mandatory: Minimum of 5 years of relevant Architectural Drafting experience.
• Mandatory: Previous experience specifically in high-end interior fit-out projects, including corporate offices, commercial spaces, hospitality, retail, or luxury interiors.
• Mandatory: Demonstrated strong knowledge of architectural detailing, joinery, finishing materials, construction methods, and site execution requirements.
• Preferred: 5 years of interior fit-out experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
