About the Role

AMAD Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Assistant Nurse to join its patient care team on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting Registered Nurses and Allied Health staff in the delivery of patient care. The Assistant Nurse will perform independent patient care activities strictly within the scope of practice for a Practical Nurse, adhering to established hospital policies and procedures, and in keeping with accepted principles of professional nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage clinical and operational activities at the ward level, ensuring the provision of optimum clinical care, customer satisfaction, and patient safety.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt care to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Maintain an effective rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, and other members of the hospital team.
• Promote confidentiality and exercise complete discretion when discussing patient information.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide continuous service to the organization.
• Ensure adherence to safety and risk management policies, including the reporting of all adverse events, incidents, and near misses.
• Contribute to investigations of complaints and incidents, drafting responses as required in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the monitoring of key performance indicators and the development of action plans as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma of Nursing with a course duration of not less than 18 months.
• Maintains valid, current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure from your country of origin.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certified.
• Certified proof of yearly Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a nursing role.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to express oneself effectively through verbal, written, and non-verbal communication.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current computer systems used in healthcare organizations.
• Strong adherence to safety and risk management policies and practices.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and exercising discretion.
