Role Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director (Commercial) to join its infrastructure team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position focuses on providing strategic direction for major programmes, with an emphasis on post-contract delivery and achieving commercial success. The role also involves promoting the values of Turner & Townsend.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the principal point of contact for cost management matters and lead the Turner & Townsend team.
• Lead and motivate team members, providing direction and inspiring high performance.
• Undertake key account roles, ensure project execution, and maintain client relationships.
• Deliver assurance services to projects, including peer reviews, gateway reviews, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, and performance audits.
• Periodically assume major program delivery roles, leading the Turner & Townsend team on commissions to achieve successful delivery and manage transitions.
• Provide oversight and assurance for Turner & Townsend's major programs in the region.
• Identify organizational needs, develop recruitment plans, and create role specifications.
• Play a key role in infrastructure business development activities for the cost center.
• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies.
• Provide client solutions and collaborate with business development teams on sales proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution.
• Collaborate with other business divisions and teams.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery by utilizing Turner & Townsend systems, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of commercial business drivers and align work and projects accordingly.
• Contribute to the development of business opportunities and enable continued market growth.
• Take responsibility for Business Unit performance and project profit/loss.
• Identify areas for opportunity and development.
• Develop talent and coach early/mid-career cost management staff.
• Work effectively with remote staff across global time zones.
• Maintain strong organizational and administrative skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an agile and emotionally intelligent leader with a proven track record in the technical delivery of major programs. Experience in cost management, covering estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement, and reporting, is essential. International and cross-sector experience, along with the ability to work in multi-cultural environments, is beneficial. The role requires operating at a senior level and comfort in presenting to large groups and senior-level client bases.
