Auto Mechanic

About the Role

United Motors Company is seeking an Auto Mechanic to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing skilled mechanical tasks on light automotive vehicles, providing high-quality services in inspection, diagnosis, and repair. The Auto Mechanic will utilize expertise gained through manufacturer certifications and automotive repair experience to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle faults and perform repairs in accordance with instructions from the team leader or manufacturer's mechanical manuals.
• Execute work according to GMC target times to achieve productivity targets and maintain the company's quality standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good operating condition and report any loss, breakage, or faults to the workshop controller.
• Ensure accurate clock times for jobs and precise documentation of work performed on repair orders.
• Inspect each vehicle for additional work requirements and secure approval from the Workshop Controller for parts replacement or extra work.
• Notify the Workshop Controller in advance if job completion deadlines cannot be met.
• Manage replaced parts according to GMC procedures, including warranty control, bagging for customer pay, core returns, and scrap.
• Exercise care for customer vehicles by using covers and mats to prevent soiling of the interior. Inspect vehicles for unreported damage or personal articles before starting work and advise the Workshop Controller of any irregularities.
• Utilize special tools and equipment effectively to enhance work quality and productivity.
• Maintain current product knowledge by reviewing manufacturer TSBs, recall notices, and other technical publications.
• Use safety equipment provided by the company and report any unsafe practices observed in the workshop to the Workshop Controller.
• Leverage training from GMC and manufacturers to improve mechanical skills.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the workshop controller.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in automotive repair.
• Demonstrated expertise in vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
• Ability to provide clear explanations for needed repairs to employees and customers in a professional manner.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires working within a workshop setting, collaborating with a team leader and workshop controller to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
